20th Feb 2006
The RSPC Polo Season 2006 has already begun with the Charity Polo Tournament which was held on 10/11 Feb. It raised RM 42,325 for Mercy Malaysia's SEA Earthquake Disaster Fund. Thank you to all the members who played in this tournament and who supported the fund-raising. To read Equestrian.Com.My's report of the polo, please click here.
There are a few adjustments to our polo calendar. Royal Pahang have confirmed their Royal Pahang Classic will be held on 19 - 27 August. It will coincide with the 80th anniversary of their club.
Tim Keyte returns for another RMPA Umpires Clinic on 11/12 and 18/19 March. It was a very good clinic last year, and this year we will organise a small tournament around it to give us some practical umpiring under his tutelage. He will again conduct Hurlingham Polo Association 'C' Grade umpire tests.
April will see another edition of the Hookahs Polo Tournament. It promises to be an even better tournament than last year. William Unwin, Johan Indot, Matthew Ma and Peter Abisheganaden are this year joined by Jagdeep Kairon as sponsors of this event. They are planning something different but no less crazy than last year.
