Tan Sri Mahadevan known as “MAD HEAVEN” celebrated his 75^th Birthday with a big celebration at the Royal Selangor Polo Club and Carcosa, hosting a polo tournament on his name. The man of astounding courage, determination, compassion and stamina is the oldest player in the club.

The tournament was played over the first weekend of September. Team Mad Heaven edged out its opponents Team Ranhill 5½ - 5 to emerge victorious in the finals of the Tan Sri Mahadevan Challenge Trophy played on September 4^th & 5^th

Division Pool A(1) was won by the Mad Heaven lead by KDYMM Tengku Mahkota Pahang as Captain with Tan Sri Mahadevan, Heidi Hamid and Shariffee Hamdi in the team. They were playing against the Ranhill lead by Tan Sri Hamdan with Marcello Casset, Ohno Satoshi, Sam Tabatabai and Vincent Digonnet as team-mates.

Division Pool A(2) was won by the Dolphins lead by Peter Abisheganaden as Captain with Mohd. Iskandar, Tengku Rohanim, Mj.Yap and Jamil Mordipi sharing chukkers in that team. They were playing against the RSPC Orcas lead by Hiroshi Kume with Ranko Kume, Hennie Coenraad, Patrick Seow, Edham and Juan Roman as team-mates.
The score was 4 : 3.

Division B trophy was sponsored by Y.A.M Tengku Puteri Seri Lela Manja Pahang, in-conjunction with her’s and her daughter's birthday. The trophy was won by team Manja lead by Daryl Yeap together with Karen Gan, Lim Siu Tin and Akiko Kume playing against team Sayang with Mathew Ma, Dato Norza, Dato Mohamed Moiz and Jamil Mordipi in the team. The score 5½ : 3.
