The
Royal Selangor Polo Club plays host to the Riding for the Disabled
(RDA) by extending the use of its facilities and school horses
for a worthy cause.
Since its inception in 1998 at the Royal Selangor Polo Club, the RDA, has grown to five branches in the country offering riding and hippotherapy to disabled children. Riding also builds the child's self-confidence and increases his independence.
The RDA recently embarked on an exciting new challenge : preparing some of its riders to compete in the Paralympics. Four RDA boys began training for this prestigious event in 2001. RDA also reached another milestone in the year 2001 when eighteen volunteers received internationally recognized RDA certification as instructors and senior helpers.
